How is highlighting and copy on computer-delivered IELTS different from paper notes?

highlight

Computer-delivered Reading lets you highlight on screen and, on Writing, edit with cut, copy, and paste. Paper lets you underline and jot in the margin. The paper is the same: Academic or General Training Reading in about 60 minutes; Task 2 still needs at least 250 words in about 40. Highlight is a find tool, not a score. If you colour a whole paragraph, you have no map. On paper, a short underline plus a word in the margin is enough. On computer, highlight the deciding sentence, then move on. Copy/paste can reorder a Writing sentence; it cannot invent the last paragraph. Practice IELTS is a computer Writing and Reading tool. It is not the official familiarisation test, not a booking page, and not Listening or Speaking.
